The Skate Technician is responsible for providing an exemplary level of end-to-end customer service to our customers. It’s your job to interact with customers, assess their needs, and then setup, repair and maintain their skates and blades. You will assess, diagnose and provide recommendations for proper fit and comfort, maintenance and servicing to ensure that the skater has the equipment required to help them meet their goals.
- Respond to customer requests and inquiries with a positive attitude building trust that we are recommending the best solution and fit for the skater.
- Provide skate sharpening, blade mounting, and other services designed to improve the overall comfort for the skater
- Provide appropriate quotes for services and manage warranty claims
- Escalate sensitive customer correspondence and/or issues to management as appropriate
- Act as an ambassador for the company at product knowledge nights and/or competitions
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe shop environment
- Participate in inventory management and control
- Acquire and maintain product knowledge by attending product knowledge training to enhance customer experience and create additional sales opportunities
· Search out opportunities to expand and grow our services business
· Assist with other instore and online activities if required
- High school or community college
- Customer service experience in sporting goods, apparel, or footwear and accessories industry is an asset
- Entrepreneurial drive with keen interest in sports
- Highly developed sense of integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction
- Process oriented with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, well-organized and able to multi-task
- Motivated, proactive and a strong team player
- Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 35 per week
