We are currently seeking a Site Superintendent to join our team and oversee on-site operations on various builds.
Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise all daily site operations from project start to completion
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate work to ensure deadlines, specifications, and budgets are met
- Direct field activities and subcontractors, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity
- Prepare and update progress schedules and reports for clients and internal stakeholders
- Interpret blueprints and project documentation to ensure construction aligns with design and specifications
- Ensure all materials and labor resources are available as needed on site
- Promote and enforce a culture of safety and compliance with all occupational regulations
- Conduct regular site inspections, quality checks, and deficiency tracking
- Attend and lead site meetings, sub-trade coordination meetings, and ensure accurate documentation
- Train, mentor, and lead field staff, fostering a collaborative and productive site environment
- Support project close-out activities, ensuring all deliverables are met and site documentation is completed
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Superintendent in the construction industry
- Demonstrated experience on both small and large-scale projects
- Experience with ground-up, multifamily residential builds is considered an asset
- Strong ability to read and interpret contract documents, plans, and technical specifications
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage and resolve conflicts and maintain professionalism under pressure
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on building successful projects while maintaining safety standards.
- Knowledge of local building codes, workplace safety procedures, and relevant construction practices
- Physically able to work on construction sites, including working at heights, lifting up to 50 lbs, and using PPE
Education & Certifications
- Valid safety certifications or working towards (e.g. WHMIS, First Aid/CPR)
- Valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s license (required)
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- Certifications required to operate site-specific equipment (if applicable)
Must be available to work full-time and commute to construction sites in Edmonton and surrounding areas.
