Job Title: Showroom Sales Assistant
Tuesday thru Saturday - 9am - 5pm
Summary
The Showroom Sales Assistant is responsible for providing prompt, courteous and knowledgeable service to walk-in customers, packing outbound corporate coffee orders and general administrative support. This position is a temporary to cover for a medical leave with the possibility to become permanent.
Job Description
The Associate, will be responsible for sales coverage in a company showroom outlet. and will assist all customers to understand, select and purchase our beverage products. The Associate will ensure all customers are aware of new products available in the store, as well as all promotional and discounted product offerings. The Associate at all times will be personable, attentive and service orientated with the customers. The Associate will aid the commercial sales division with packing orders and coordinating routes / service calls. Administrative duties will be assigned throughout the work week.

Job Duties
- Work in partnership with other employees to maximize store sales and in-store presence
- Ensure that the retail outlet is properly supplied with product (shelves are full) by obtaining required product from the warehouse when needed
- Ensure accuracy in all pricing, shelving/display, and inventory control procedures
- Process customer purchase and refund transactions, using debit/credit through the POS system
- Perform closing procedures for the POS (balance sales with receipts) on the daily sales in the store
- Participate in all manner of store housekeeping, in particular, maintaining the coffee station in the sampling area of the store
- Administrative work including data entry and responding to client inquiries in a timely manner
- Maintain a high level of product knowledge and awareness of new product, future product availability and specific product brand guidelines
- · Participate in any focused merchandising and all special promotional activities
- Practice good risk management by being aware of the potential risks of shoplifting and/or fraudulent credit card use
- Maintain a high level of customer service by greeting customers and ensuring customer awareness of company’s unique retail approach of single cup selection and product sampling
- Assist customer with product selection, informing them of newly introduced product and identifying all promotional and discounted product offers
- Address customer complaints, resolving the issue or escalating to the Store Supervisor for further action
- Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor, and attitude at all times
- Receive inbound Freight, Unpack and rotate new stock.
- Workplace Hygiene, keeping floors and guest washroom clean
- Generate sales through outbound calling, social media posts and engagement activities.
- Ensures requests are responded to in a prompt, efficient and friendly manner;
- Sorts, distributes and pick-up of incoming/outgoing mail, inter-office mail and courier shipments;
- Supports office administrative staff and equipment with respect to service, the inventory of supplies and installation of toner and paper for the photocopiers, fax machines, and area printers. Orders and distributes office supplies when required;
- Assists with booking and controlling boardroom availability when required;
- Ensures all supplies and equipment are in proper working order for each of the boardrooms; maintains cleanliness and appropriate set-up, supplies and equipment has been provided;
- Occasionally greets guests of The Coffee Connection, offers hospitality service, and process over counter sales.
- Other duties within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job, as requested by management.
- Cold Calling 50-100 customers daily

Required Skills

Job Type: Seasonal
Contract length: 2-3 months
Pay: From $17.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
