Chu Cho Industries is looking for a Shopper/Runner to join our team in Prince George, BC. The Shopper/Runner will be responsible for ordering and purchasing of goods for all operational remote job sites and camps, storage, and delivery of products over established routes. This person will also assist with the coordination and expediting of people and goods in an efficient and timely manner. This is a part-time seasonal job set to end in or around September/October 2025 and would be ideal for a student returning to school in the fall!
Job Duties
- Shopping and ordering of client’s requirements for remote work sites and camps.
- Operate and drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various products.
- Make payments for goods and services, including but not limited to groceries, office supplies, auto parts and maintenance.
- Record information on pick-ups and deliveries, vehicle mileage, fuel costs and any problems encountered.
- Inventory check all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate before and during the delivery.
- Communicate with the public, customers, employees and stakeholders in person, via phone, text and email.
- Ensure that material is properly protected from the outdoor elements.
- Work with customers and staff in a courteous and timely manner.
- Complete all necessary paperwork by the end of each day. May include, but not limited to daily logs, inspection logs, purchase receipts, vehicle inspection, hours of service, etc.
- Organize and store shipping items in a labelled and systematic manner.
- Other duties as required
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Valid BC driver’s license (Class 5 is preferred)
- Clean driver’s abstract
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook
- Highly flexible, including taking calls before and after regular office hours.
- Grade 12 or GED equivalent
- Physically fit (able to lift 50 lbs)
- Strong customer focus, communication, high energy
- Ability to work as a team and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive attitude.
- Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
