Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Metal Worker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience in metal fabrication and machining. This role requires proficiency in operating various machinery and tools to create high-quality metal components according to specifications. The Metal Worker will play a crucial role in ensuring production efficiency and maintaining high standards of quality.
Duties
- Operate lathes, milling machines, and CNC equipment to fabricate metal components.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine specifications and tolerances.
- Utilize hand tools and measuring instruments such as calipers to ensure precision in machining processes.
- Perform welding tasks as needed to assemble or repair metal structures.
- Conduct routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot production issues and implement solutions.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Experience
- Proven experience in machining, metal fabrication, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various types of machinery effectively.
- Familiarity with welding techniques is a plus.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical documents accurately.
- Experience using hand tools and measuring devices such as calipers is essential.
