Job description
The Service Manager is accountable for operating an efficient and profitable service department, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction, and quality workmanship. The Service Manager is an essential part of the dealership location, one who works in collaboration with other departments to ensure the customer transaction and dealership experience is a positive one.
Responsibilities
Maintain and develop customer relationships while also working to grow new business.
Customer communication to provide technical assistance and resolve issues.
Manage productivity, training, and performance of the service team leads and technicians.
Provide staff with leadership, guidance and effective communication.
Overseal and monitor the day-to-day operations of the service department, including both field and shop.
Assist dispatch with repair times and scheduling questions.
Create service repair quotes.
Assist in managing product support reps.
Assist service department with diagnosis and repairs as required.
Monitor the progress of current jobs and oversee service team members to ensure the objectives are met.
Monitor productivity and maintain proper staffing levels, including hiring, training, reviews, and dismissals if required.
Handling customer complaints/concerns quickly and professionally to maintain good customer relationships to ensure repeat business.
Assist with or performing administrative tasks, such as, final approval or updating of invoices.
Oversee that the service department tooling, manuals and diagnostic computers are kept up to date.
Maintain a strong working knowledge of the products we sell and maintain.
Actively participate in weekly and quarterly management meetings.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $107,000.00-$140,000.00 per year
