Skyline Contracting is seeking an experienced Service Foreman to join our team in Caistor Centre, ON. The Service Foreman's role requires travel to various job sites, with a company truck and trailer; travel is often within one hour of Skyline’s Headquarters.
Reporting directly to the Service Superintendent, the Service Foreman will oversee and coordinate the activities of Service Technicians, ensuring that all work is performed to the highest standards of quality and safety. This position requires strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of various trades within the roofing industry.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections, diagnosing issues, and providing effective solutions. They will be adept at performing accurate estimates for materials, labour, and project timelines, ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
As a customer-facing role, the Service Foreman must excel in communication and customer service, addressing any concerns and ensuring a positive customer experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A valid G-Class Driver's License with a clean driver abstract;
- Experience in operating a truck and trailer;
- Certified and confident with Working at Heights;
- Extensive experience in the trades, with a solid understanding of various disciplines;
- Proficient in the use of power tools;
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Strong understanding of the building envelope and the ability to apply the Ontario Building Code.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Service Foreman will supervise and coordinate the activities of the Service Technicians, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety protocols.
The Service Foreman will perform inspections, diagnose issues, and provide effective solutions for various roofing projects. The foreman will collaborate with the Service Superintendent to plan and schedule projects effectively.
The Service Foreman will collaborate on estimates with the Superintendent using the detailed information they gathered from the job site. The foreman will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
The Service Foreman will communicate with customers, providing exceptional service and addressing any concerns or inquiries.
