Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Helper to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting kitchen operations, ensuring that food is prepared efficiently and safely. Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients under the direction of chefs or kitchen staff.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards to maintain a safe working environment.
- Help with inventory management by restocking supplies as needed and reporting shortages to supervisors.
- Support the serving staff by preparing food items for service and assisting with plating as required.
- Contribute to a positive team atmosphere by collaborating effectively with kitchen staff and other departments.
Experience
- Previous experience in food handling or preparation is preferred but not required; we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices within a restaurant or hospitality setting is advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment.
- A passion for the culinary arts and a desire to learn more about various aspects of food service.
- Experience in bartending or hospitality roles can be beneficial but is not mandatory.
