Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server/Cashier to join our team in delivering exceptional service to our customers. In this role, you will be responsible for providing a welcoming dining experience, taking orders, handling payments, and ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are met. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry and possess strong customer service skills.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout their dining experience.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently using the Micros POS system.
- Prepare food items as needed while adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register with precision, ensuring accurate cash handling.
- Upsell menu items to enhance the customer experience and increase sales.
- Maintain cleanliness in the dining area, kitchen, and restrooms to uphold sanitation standards.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any customer concerns promptly.
- Assist in training new staff members on food preparation techniques and restaurant policies.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is advantageous.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and order processing.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential.
- Excellent communication skills with an emphasis on customer service and teamwork.
