THE ROLE:
If you know how to build a content strategy from the ground up and then write the pieces that make it real, and you’ve spent 6–8 years telling B2B stories in consulting, agency, or tech environments, let’s talk.

We’re looking for a senior-level strategic content writer to join our marketing team on a 12-month contract starting September 2025.
This role is 70% strategic thinking — collaborating with stakeholders to uncover customer tensions and problems, arrive at a sharp POV, define the right messages, and map them to the buyer journey in ways that support business goals — and 30% hands-on writing. You’ll lead the thinking, shape the narratives, and then bring them to life through sharp, clear, on-brand content that positions Apply Digital as a thought leader.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own the end-to-end content process — from initial research and insight gathering to creating the brief, executing the content, and ensuring it delivers measurable results.
- Partner with stakeholders to define content objectives that support funnel progression and pipeline growth.
- Develop content strategies mapped to the buyer journey, identifying how each piece supports awareness, consideration, and conversion goals.
- Conduct market, competitor, and audience research to uncover insights that ground content in relevance and authority.
- Translate complex technical and business concepts into clear, compelling stories for executives, decision-makers, and industry audiences.
- Create high-quality content across formats — thought leadership, blog posts, case studies, white papers, research reports, video scripts, webinars, website copy, and social content.
- Build content that not only informs but also nurtures leads and supports account-based marketing efforts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams — including design, tech, growth marketing, BD, partnerships, and strategy — to ensure content aligns with campaign objectives and brand positioning.
- Present and refine strategies with C-suite and senior leadership input.
- Monitor performance metrics, draw insights, and recommend optimizations to improve reach, engagement, and conversion.
REQUIREMENTS
- University degree in business, marketing, journalism, communications, or related field preferred.
- 6–8 years of experience in strategic content roles, ideally in B2B tech or professional services.
- Proficiency in Google Suite.
- Native-level English fluency with expert-level writing and editing ability.
- Prior CMS experience (Storyblok or similar) is an asset.
- A proven ability to think strategically about content: understanding target audiences, business goals, and how messaging drives pipeline growth.
- Deep familiarity with B2B marketing funnels — from awareness through post-sale engagement — and how content fuels each stage.
- Strong writing skills, with a portfolio that shows your ability to engage professional audiences across channels.
- Experience in grounding work in audience insights, competitive analysis, and brand strategy.
- Ability to create clear, actionable briefs that align writers, designers, and marketers around a shared vision.
- Skilled at distilling technical or abstract concepts into accessible, persuasive narratives.
- Understanding of SEO, accessibility best practices, and analytics to guide decision-making.
- A creative mindset — bringing fresh ideas, exploring new formats, and spotting unconventional opportunities — paired with the flexibility to adapt to change and prioritize what’s right for the business.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities without losing sight of the strategic big picture.
- Comfort operating in both high-level planning and hands-on execution.
