Job Overview
We are currently looking for a dedicated and adaptable Security Guard Floater to join our growing team. This position is ideal for someone who is flexible, reliable, and able to travel to different sites across Scarborough, Richmond Hill, Vaughan, Markham, and Downtown Toronto.
As a floater, you’ll play a vital role in covering shifts at various locations, ensuring the safety of clients, staff, and the general public. This role requires quick adaptability, a proactive attitude, and the ability to manage site duties independently with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Patrolling assigned sites, buildings, and surrounding areas
- Ensuring all entry and exit points are locked, secure, and monitored
- Addressing unauthorized access and managing situations involving trespassers or individuals loitering, including homeless persons, in a safe and respectful manner
- Responding to and reporting any suspicious or unsafe activities promptly
- Adhering to all site-specific post orders and protocols
- Maintaining a professional presence and providing excellent customer service
Requirements
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License
- Reliable access to transportation (must be able to travel to various locations as needed)
- Strong communication and observational skills
- Punctuality and dependability are essential
- Must be able to work independently and handle site duties with professionalism
- Previous security experience is an asset, but not required
