We are a rapidly growing Nestle ice cream distributor, bringing joy and sweetness to businesses across Southern Alberta. We're looking for an energetic and results-oriented Seasonal Outside Sales Representative to expand our reach by identifying and securing new commercial clients. This role is heavily focused on new business development, offering significant earning potential for top performers!
About the Role:
As an Outside Sales Representative, you will be the face of Birkby Foods, responsible for actively seeking out and establishing relationships with new business customers who can benefit from our fantastic range of ice cream products. This is a highly autonomous role where your entrepreneurial spirit will shine!
Key Responsibilities:
- Aggressive New Business Development: Identify, prospect, and cold-call potential new commercial customers (restaurants, cafes, hotels, convenience stores, event venues, corporate offices, etc.) who can sell or serve our ice cream.
- Pipeline Management: Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, tracking leads, opportunities, and sales activities using our CRM system.
- Product Expertise: Become an expert on our ice cream products, understanding their features, benefits, and how they can drive value for our diverse clientele.
- Sales Presentations & Negotiation: Conduct compelling sales presentations, showcase our product lines, and negotiate terms to close deals.
- Customer Relationship Building: Establish and nurture strong, lasting relationships with new clients, ensuring their satisfaction and future reorders.
- Market Intelligence: Gather feedback from the market and report on competitive activities and emerging trends.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates on sales activities, pipeline status, and new customer acquisitions.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven Sales Hunter: A minimum of 1 year of successful outside sales experience, with a strong emphasis on new business acquisition and cold calling.
- Highly Motivated & Self-Starter: Ability to work independently, manage your own schedule, and consistently meet and exceed sales targets.
- Exceptional Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
- Customer-Centric: A genuine desire to understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Passion for Ice Cream: Enthusiasm for our product and the ability to convey that excitement to potential clients.
- Tech Savvy: Comfortable using CRM software and other sales tools.
- Valid Driver's License & Reliable Vehicle: Absolutely essential. You must have your own reliable vehicle and a clean driving record to travel extensively within your assigned territory.
Compensation:
This is a seasonal role with a strong performance-based compensation structure. We offer a competitive base salary, but your earning potential is heavily weighted on your ability to bring in new customers and generate sales. The more new business you acquire, the more you earn!
