We are searching for an independent, detail-oriented individual to join us for a seasonal fruit project at Bradner Cold Storage!
This position is until the end of berry season approximately the end of September.
This position will have 2 shifts over the weekend and 2 shifts during the week.
The Customs Compliance Coordinator role plays a critical function in our day-to-day process to execute the necessary documentation procedures in invoicing to comply with the requirements of our customs compliance program. This is a high paced role that requires great attention to detail, excellent follow through, and a process improvement mindset to identify and create process efficiencies.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
- 1-2 years of experience minimum with fresh produce handling preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to balance multiple work assignments, projects, and daily operational activities
- Able to lift up to 30lbs needed
- Bilingual an asset (English & Spanish)

What you will be doing
- Preparation and communication of export and customs invoices and other necessary documentation for export
- Verify that all documents are complete and accurate
- Manage document control and ensure that high security seals are maintained with documents
- Scanning and emailing shipment documents to appropriate parties.
- Support the enforcement of CTPAT procedures
- Communication with Customs compliance team
- Coordinate transport with a US transportation team
The software the successful will be using is in English and Spanish. Any error codes are messages are in Spanish. The successful candidate will either be able to read Spanish or have the ability to use Google to translate messages for them. The ideal candidate will not see this as a barrier, but as an opportunity to learn and understand!
