Dutchak Scrap Metal is currently seeking a candidate to fill the entry level role of Scrap Copper Processor.
The successful candidates will be responsible for processing and sorting scrap copper tubing using an alligator shear. Training is provided as it relates to using the shear. This is a warehouse position (indoors).
Experience working in a related industry and / or warehouse environment is preferred. More specifically, experience working indoors or outdoors in a manufacturing setting - alongside processing machinery and/or heavy machinery - is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Learn about various types of ferrous and non-ferrous metals
- Learn & practice proper sorting, processing, and packaging of metals
- Follow general safety practices
Qualifications
- Previous labour experience a definite asset
- Must be able to get to and from the Thunder Bay yard site daily
- Strong communication skills
- Able to carry out instructions provided in written, oral format
- Punctual, responsible & respectful attitude absolutely required!
