Essential Functions
- Answering telephone system for the purpose of screening calls, transferring calls, responding to inquiries and/or taking messages.
- Greeting individuals entering the school (e.g. visitors, parents, students, vendors, etc.) for the purpose of responding to inquiries; and/or directing individuals to appropriate location in accordance with established procedures.
- Performing general secretarial and clerical functions (e.g. scheduling, copying, faxing, data entry, filing, etc.) for the purpose of supporting office operations.
- Assisting with all admissions-related tasks and various administrative tasks and duties, utilizing word, excel, Google Drive and maintaining the school database updated.
- Processing a variety of records (e.g. student records, attendance sheet, guardianship letters, etc.) for the purpose of conveying information within Ministry’s guidelines and regulations.
- Assisting with the ordering of stationery, materials and resources and ensuring that stock levels are maintained.
- Communicating with parents, agents and students regarding all aspects of school life, receiving and passing on information, between parents and teachers, including phoning parents or guardian to ascertain reasons for students’ absence.
Other Functions
- Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
