Job Summary:
Stars Montessori Academy and Out of School Care is currently seeking a responsible and reliable School Bus Driver to transport children safely to and from school and on field trips. The ideal candidate is punctual, safety-focused, and enjoys working with children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a school bus on scheduled routes and field trips.
- Pick up and drop off children at designated locations, including schools and homes.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and maintain cleanliness and safety standards.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all passengers during transportation.
- Communicate effectively with staff, parents, and children in a professional and friendly manner.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Valid Class 4 driver’s license
- Clean driving record.
- Previous experience driving a school bus or working with children is an asset.
- Strong commitment to safety.
- Ability to pass a background check and provide a clear driver’s abstract.
- CPR/First Aid certification is an asset.
Work Hours:
- Split shifts: Morning and afternoon routes (e.g., 7:00–9:00 AM & 2:30–4:30 PM).
- Additional hours available for field trips, PD days, or summer programs.
