In 1762, John Montagu, the 4th Earl of Sandwich®, invented the meal that changed dining forever. As the story goes, he was playing cards and did not want to leave the gaming table to eat. He asked for a serving of roast beef to be placed between two slices of bread so he could eat with his hands. Thus, the Sandwich was born.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare sandwiches according to customer specifications and company recipes
- Ensure food safety and proper handling of ingredients
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens and slicers
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area
- Provide excellent customer service by taking orders and answering questions
- Operate the POS system for cash handling and order processing
Skills:
- Cashiering: Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Kitchen: Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Customer service: Strong interpersonal skills to provide friendly and helpful service to customers
- POS: Familiarity with point-of-sale systems for order processing and payment handling
- Food handling: Knowledge of proper food handling techniques to ensure safety and quality
Note: Prior experience as a sandwich maker or in the food industry is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates enthusiasm, willingness to learn, and a strong work ethic.
