The WoodSource is seeking a Millwork Product Expert (Sales) to join our expanding team of sales professionals.

YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE
Reporting to the Store Manager, the Millwork Product Expert (Sales) will develop and nurture strong relationships with contractors, designers, architects, and custom mill shops to drive sales of high-value custom millwork, including but not limited to cabinetry, architectural elements, doors, and specialized wood products, as well as deck and fence projects. This position requires material product knowledge, effective communication skills, and knowing related items to sell an entire project. The successful candidate will provide fast, friendly service by actively responding to customers to assess their needs and provide assistance. The position will be based in the Ottawa store and will have short periods of outbound sales efforts (1-2 days/month est.).
Candidates with active books of business will be given priority.
Schedule: 5 shifts of 9 hours between Monday to Saturday
Base Wage: Base salary + Bonus

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Proactively engage with and qualify potential clients, providing expert advice and solutions to secure high-value custom millwork projects
- Collaborate closely with our in-house millwork and CNC teams to ensure seamless project execution from design to delivery
- Leverage past experience using design softwares to ensure products are accurately specified and agreed to before production begins
- Manage existing accounts by providing excellent service and expert advice
- Process customer sales (quote, order, take payment, coordinate logistics)
- Answer the sales desk phone and email inquiries to respond to customer orders
- Actively seek new information and product knowledge
- Strategically identify and pursue new business opportunities through targeted outreach, networking events, and on-site consultations to grow The WoodSource's market share
- Other tasks as required
WHAT YOU NEED
- Professional approach and presence
- Outstanding attitude: have initiative, display excellent follow-up, have a positive outlook and be a pleasure to work with
- Previous experience working with CAD based software
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive sales experience in custom millwork, with a demonstrated ability to achieve annual sales targets of $2M+
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to use Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook and Teams
- Ability to speak French is considered an asset
- High school diploma essential; College diploma/university degree is considered an asset

Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
