Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in roofing and possess a strong understanding of building materials and techniques. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in various weather conditions. As a Roofer, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on residential and commercial buildings.
Responsibilities
- Install roofing systems using various materials such as shingles, metal, and PVC membranes.
- Repair and replace damaged roofing materials to ensure the integrity of the roof.
- Perform inspections to identify potential issues or areas needing maintenance.
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine project specifications and requirements.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during roofing projects.
- Apply caulking and sealants as necessary to prevent leaks and ensure waterproofing.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
- Assist in heavy lifting and moving materials as needed on job sites.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Roofer or in a related construction role.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to roofing tasks.
- Ability to read blueprints and understand technical specifications for roofing projects.
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 85 pounds) regularly.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining safety practices.
- Must have own transportation to Bobcaygeon
