Commencing in June and reporting to the Agricultural Fieldman and Superintendent of Public Works, the Roadside Mowing Technicians will be required to operate Tractors and Mowers on municipally owned lands.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Locating mowing sites on a map
- Reviewing local land conditions
- Operating a tractor with mowing equipment.
- Maintaining and Servicing Equipment
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
· Valid Class 5 driver’s license with an acceptable driver’s abstract.
· Experience operating Agricultural Equipment or Heavy Equipment.
· Ability to maintain equipment (i.e greasing, changing mower blades)
· Knowledge of regulated weeds an asset
· Ability to follow directions, manage time and priorities, and ability to multitask.
· Comfortable reading maps.
· Physically fit.
These are temporary positions and will commence in June and last until approximately September.
