Objective

The purpose of the job is to manage all the retrofit activities including the responsibilities as hierarchical manager for all the operators of the manufacturing organization, as well as to lead the APYS activities for the project.


Responsibilities:


The main responsibilities are:

  • The complete scope of retrofit activities, which also includes
    • Task assignment to operators,
    • Monitor equipment and tools to ensure certification compliance,
    • Ensure appropriate material is on site to expedite repairs,
    • On time, closing of work orders in MES

      • Productive & Nonproductive hours booked in MES of all operators
    • Lead APSYS deployment
      • Ensure that APSYS is deployed throughout the Retrofit Team and APSYS standards are adhered to.
      • Perform Weekly APSYS board audits to ensure correct standards are being maintained.
      • Work with APSYS Leaders and site Management to define and implement APSYS Roadmap deployment.
      • Train people on APSYS program, methodologies and tools in the site
      • Use APSYS toolbox to deliver operational performance & develop local best practices
      • Share good practices & benchmarks within APSYS network
  • The finalization of manufacturing preparation for activity
  • SQCD performance for the activity, and tracking the associated KPI
  • Continuous improvement of SQCD performance of the activity
    • Optimizations of the workstation/work center using of APSYS Tools
  • Issues Management for the activity of retrofit
    • Issues are raised in MES on time
    • Contribution to corrective action of the issue (e.g. QRQC)
  • Responsible for time management (presence management and activity management) of all employees, and assuring compliance with the local legislation,
  • Accountable for the time reconciliation,
  • Responsible for continuously improving occupational safety, including that of contractors (if applicable) working in the department
  • Contribution to the development of the operators, which means further development of the qualification matrix for product-related and technology-related processes, as well as general technological and personal qualification,
  • Contribution to the application of the corporate policies (EHS, Ethics and Compliance, etc.)
  • Liaise with Maintenance team to ensure LRVs are repaire/retrofitted in line with Service needs

As our ideal candidate:

  • You have a technical post-secondary certificate
  • You have minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in a Railway industry.
  • Previous experience in operational industrial role.

  • Strong knowledge of Special Processes
  • Good understanding of Industrial Management
  • Processes for industrials E2E, from Engineering to Delivery
  • Manufacturing Processes and Technologies
  • Configuration & Change Management

Awareness of following fields is desirable:

  • Automation / Robotization
  • Greenfield/Brownfield Development
  • Site Facilities & Maintenance
  • Transfer of Technology
  • Ergonomics

Transversal skills

  • Team Management including management of cross functional teams

  • Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) rules and regulations,
  • Lean Management tools, methods, etc.
  • Good understanding of Supply Chain/Quality processes and impact from manufacturing on them

  • Products Knowledge
  • Applicable Social Relations & Labour Law
  • Awareness of Finance/Sourcing processes and impact from manufacturing on them is desirable
  • Knowledge of Digital & Analytics Tools for managing the manufacturing activities (KPI, etc.) is desirable
