Resident Services Manager

Job Role
Reporting to the Community Manager and/or designate, the Resident Services Manager is responsible to assist with the day-to-day operations of their assigned Community(s) including marketing, resident tours, assessment, move ins and move outs, case management and building positive community relationships.
Job Duties
- Assists in managing the Community(s) within the policies and procedures developed by Homeland Housing, the Supportive Living Licensing Act, Social Housing Act, Residential Tenancies Act, Protection for Persons in Care Act, and Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Works as a member of the Homeland team to develop and maintain high quality, innovative resident focused services and programs.
- Establishes and builds upon positive customer service experiences for residents, their families, employees, volunteers, and contractors.
- Establishes and builds upon positive working relationships with external community stakeholders such as Alberta Health Services, Alberta Health, and the local community.
- Provides a proactive and solutions focused approach to resolving resident and internal or external stakeholder issues or conflict.
- Conducts tours and completes or coordinates prospective resident screening and assessment.
- Conducts rent reviews, completes rent calculation worksheets for each resident, including Corporate operations review, resident signature and uploads to YARDI®.
- Reviews and revises rent rolls monthly; adjusts base rent, accommodation service package and sundry fees as needed. Submits the rent roll and supporting documentation to Finance within assigned reporting deadlines.
- Conducts suite/room inspections, completes move in and/or move out paperwork and uploads to YARDI®.
- Responsible for actively marketing the community and maintaining budgeted occupancy levels.
- Actively participates in the Homeland Housing Workplace Health and Safety Program and demonstrates leadership in this area.
- May be required to provide additional coverage in times of staffing shortages and/or special events.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Education, Training, and Experience
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal; (required)
- Post-Secondary/Undergraduate Diploma or Certificate in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience (preferred);
- Knowledge of seniors, gerontology, and income and housing issues (preferred);
- Minimum two years of experience working in a supervisory or management position, preferably in seniors supportive living/housing or community housing (required);
- Intermediate working knowledge of MS Outlook, MS Word, Excel and Internet usage (required);
- Intermediate working knowledge of YARDI® (preferred); and
- Standard First Aid and CPR and Mental Health First Aide, or requirement to obtain same within three months of hire (required).

- Must have vehicle and valid driver’s license;
- Must be mentally and physically fit to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position; and
- Must be responsible for maintaining self-wellness and reduced absenteeism.
Job Type: Part Time ; Benefits and RRSP eligible
The successful candidate will be required to provide an acceptable Criminal Record Check, 90 days current.
