Required Qualifications:

Required Qualifications: Completion of Grade 10 or recognized equivalent required.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Physically capable of lifting food, supplies and equipment up to 50lbs and must be able to push/pull meal carts up to 250lbs. This position requires you to walk and stand on your feet for the duration of your shift. Basic knowledge of and experience with computer applications. All new employees must be able to attend 1 day of Environmental Services' new employee orientation and complete necessary training on each unit. Good command of English language, both verbal and written and ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Strong customer service skills, including the ability to interact with everyone in a respectful manner. Ability to read and follow checklist, and work order reports and work in a sanitary manner. Ability to demonstrate responsible judgement in problem solving. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team. Strong time management and organizational skills to be able to manage workload. A proactive approach to problem-solving and conflict resolution within the team. Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Please note: Classifications Under Review.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with the following tasks:cleaning common areas, dining room and kitchen, disinfecting, floor care, laundry, and restocking supply areas, dealing with resident issues and emergencies as required and other site-specific duties as assigned. On an as needed basis, this position will also attend to unscheduled cleaning needs in residents’ units and will cover the front desk when required. Responding to emergencies as needed.
