About the Role:
We are seeking a dependable and personable Resident Clubhouse Maintenance & Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day upkeep and smooth operation of our recreational clubhouse in vibrant multi-strata residential community in Delta, BC. This key role ensures our shared amenities—including the pool, gym, gymnasium, multipurpose rooms, and guest suites—are clean, well-maintained, safe, and welcoming for all residents.
This position will require management skills as there will be part-time staff to supervise.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in building maintenance, janitorial duties, and customer service, with a proactive mindset and strong interpersonal skills for interacting with homeowners and guests.
This position also requires that the manager live on-site. There is a modern two bedroom self-contained apartment available for the manager with below market rent.
Key Responsibilities:
Facility Maintenance & Cleaning
- Perform routine inspections and minor repairs of clubhouse facilities and equipment (e.g., lighting, doors, fixtures, pool area).
- Conduct daily janitorial tasks to maintain cleanliness in all common areas including washrooms, lobby, gym, and guest suites.
- Coordinate with external contractors for major repairs, pest control, HVAC, and other specialized services as needed.
Operations & Administration
- Monitor bookings and prepare multipurpose rooms and guest suites for resident use (light setup, cleaning, key handling).
- Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and basic maintenance materials.
- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and resident concerns to the Strata Council in a timely manner.
- Document daily activities, incidents, and maintenance logs.
- During the period of May – October, oversee testing and chemical maintenance of the outdoor pool.
Resident Engagement & Customer Service
- Serve as the friendly, go-to contact for residents using the clubhouse.
- Communicate respectfully and clearly with homeowners to address inquiries, concerns, and feedback.
- Ensure that clubhouse rules and guidelines are upheld in a professional manner.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in building maintenance, janitorial services, or similar roles.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Comfortable using basic tools and equipment; able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Basic computer literacy for logging reports and correspondence.
- Experience in a strata or residential setting is an asset.
Working Conditions:
- This is a full-time, on-site position.
- Some evening or weekend hours may be required based on bookings or emergency maintenance needs.
- A uniform or dress code may be provided to maintain a professional appearance on site.
