The Reporting Specialist will be responsible for delivering standard and ad hoc reports through data analysis and data collection from data sources. You will work closely with various operations teams to support, maintain, and troubleshoot End-User Computing (EUC) tools. This position will also involve contributing to project work, monitoring intake (Jira/Outlook), and participating in meetings with stakeholders to understand and gather requirements to meet their business needs.
What you will do
- Execute management and client reports that track operational effectiveness by strict timelines: weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually.
- Perform client ad hoc data analysis and requirements gathering to develop and support reports from various existing data sources.
- Troubleshoot and contribute to the maintenance of all reporting tools and EUCs.
- Participate in projects as required, including drafting test plans and performing quality testing. For example, compatibility with Microsoft products.
- Provide customer and team support by monitoring intake (Jira/Outlook), responding to inquiries, conducting investigations, and resolving defects in reporting tools and EUC tools.
What you will bring
- Education/skills acquired through enrolment in or graduation from Computer Science, College or other related fields.
- Proficient in analysing and manipulating data primarily using SQL and some Excel/Access (including macros, VBA). Other programming languages(C#) would be considered an asset.
- Experience working with SQL database environments, Power BI and Microsoft tools is a major asset.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with all stakeholders and explain technical problems/solutions to non-technical colleagues.
- Proficient in problem-solving.
- Experience participating in and working on IT and other projects.
- Well-developed organisational skills, including prioritising multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Consent to a criminal background check as well as the Government of Canada enhanced security screening.
The base salary for this position is between $50,400 - $ 75,600 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
