Red Apple Stores is recruiting for a Replenishment Coordinator to join our Merchandising/Allocation Team. This position is based out of Mississauga, Ontario.
The Replenishment Coordinator will work in collaboration with the Merchandising, Allocation, Planning, Logistics, Distribution Centre teams along with Vendor partners to ensure the effective flow of merchandise to our stores, to meet store and Customer demand and allow the Company to reach its inventory, sales and margin targets.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create orders from the weekly Automatic Replenishment order cycle.
- Revise orders as needed based on vendor information or directives from the Merchandising team.
- Maintain the flow of inventory from the Distribution Centre on specific items held in stock internally.
- Apply routing costs and tariffs for logistics department on international shipments.
- Assist in maintaining records of under/over performing items, Out of Stock (OOS) items and following up with Buying team regarding concerns.
- Review the flow of items and propose measures to increase or reduce purchases to optimize store sales and inventory.
- Effectively analyze inventory data, assist in developing replenishment strategies to help maximize inventory profitability.
- Communicate directly with the Finance department regarding payments, invoices / discrepancies.
- Create strong relationships, both internally and externally, to promote effective communication and collaboration with regards to supply chain concerns.
- Understand annual and seasonal buying plans, Weeks of Supply (WOS)trends, distribution needs and requirements, and goals of the merchandising team to contribute to results.
- Manage and distribute related analysis/reports and provide support to the department as required.
RELATIONSHIPS & WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Works closely with Merchandising, Allocation, Planning, Distribution, AP Department and Logistics, understanding the partnership required to achieve the Company’s financial and inventory goals. Communicate with teams regarding potential concerns/solutions.
SKILLS, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- College diploma in a related discipline
- 1-2 years of experience in merchandise allocation/distribution
- General retail experience
- Advanced skills in MS Excel and Word preferred
- Strong numbers aptitude with an ability to compile and analyze data
- Knowledge of merchandise planning, distribution and replenishment systems with JDA being an asset
- Good analytical skills with an eye for identifying trends, areas for improvement
- Effective communication skills including the ability to convey insights and recommendations
- Must work well independently and in a team-oriented environment
- Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines and the needs of the business.
