The Medical Device Repair Centre Co-op must be a team-oriented individual capable of working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This position is responsible for providing technical repair and quality control support for the Demo fleet and customer owned products that exceeds our customer expectations. Responsibilities
Individual Responsibilities:

Primary Functional Responsibilities:
- Perform routine functions checks on demo/consignment/loaner equipment
- Provide effective, proficient, and timely quality inspections, technical repairs and staging of high-profile products to ensure optimal customer satisfaction
- Provide support for demo/loaner repairs and help prepare products for evaluations/shows
- Collaborate with the key stakeholders to ensure the timely functional checks of demo product
- Investigate all CEF’s and provide root cause, corrective action, analyze and trend data
- Assemble new product and prepare product for delivery
- Perform technical inspections, repairs, and quality checks on medical devices serviced in-house
- Work with other technicians to ensure customer satisfaction
- Promote Stryker’s business by recognizing opportunities to fulfill additional customer needs and communicating with the appropriate Stryker personnel for follow up
- Follow all administrative duties in a very accurate and timely manner, maintain detailed records of repairs and functional checks
- Assist in the development of new service procedures and Function Checks criteria when required
- Maintain an accurate inventory and regular counts of Stryker equipment and parts.
- Enter parts and replenishment stock into the system and maintain accurate inventory levels for parts and accessories
- Other duties including administrative tasks as assigned by Manager/Supervisor
Other Occasional Responsibilities:
- Quote and requote Customers on Repairs
- Validate, maintain, and regularly calibrate all tools and fixtures
- Assist local technicians with preventative maintenance checks and repairs in the field, travel up to 5% of the time (overnight) for Field service calls and customer support
- Suggest and support the team and cross functional projects for continuous improvement including process optimization to increase efficiency, lower costs and inventory level optimization and accuracy

- Understand that compliance with the Code of Conduct, as it may be amended by Stryker Corporation from time to time, is a condition of continued employment with Stryker
- Conduct work in compliance with all laws, rules, and regulations and in accordance with Stryker’s high ethical standards
- Report any violations of these policies and procedures to Stryker management or in the manner outlined in Stryker’s Ethics Hotline Policy
Knowledge & Skill Requirements
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to read technical drawings, troubleshoot and perform repairs on medical devices
- Highly organized, strong time management skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Knowledge of proper lifting/body mechanic techniques and ability to lift and move items up to 50 pounds
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work together with internal company stakeholders
Education & Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a co-operative education program working on completion of a bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent (Science, technology, engineering)
- Full time or part time student at a Canadian institution
Must be legally authorized to work in Canada and not require employment-based sponsorship now
Travel Percentage: 10%
