Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Auto Body Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and a passion for restoring vehicles to their original condition. This role involves assessing vehicle damage, performing repairs, and ensuring high-quality finishes. The Auto Body Technician will work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing various tools and techniques to deliver exceptional results.
Duties
- Inspect vehicles for structural damage and assess repair needs.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools to perform body repairs, including welding and painting.
- Replace or repair damaged parts, such as bumpers, fenders, and doors.
- Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, masking, and applying primer as needed.
- Ensure all repairs meet industry standards and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with other technicians and staff to ensure efficient workflow within the shop.
- Welding rocker panels / patch panels
Skills
- Proficient in automotive repair techniques with hands-on experience in bodywork.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various issues.
- Experience using power tools and hand tools effectively and safely.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during repairs.
- Previous experience in a dealership setting is a plus but not mandatory.
- A strong work ethic with attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
- Precious experience in rocker panels and welding an asset
