Staff Shop Inc. specializes in temporary, temp-to-hire, contract and direct hire staffing in the Hospitality & Events sector. Our clients range from large food service companies, caterers, venues, hotels, and restaurants to special annual events. We have an immediate opening with one of our Clients for Database Management Junior Coordinator.

Start Date: Immediate, 4 month contract with possible extension
Specific Shifts: Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm, must be flexible to do longer hours as needed, and possibly the odd weekend during event time

Responsibilities:

  • Entering customer and account data from source documents within time limits
  • Compiling, verifying accuracy and sorting information to prepare source data for computer entry
  • Effectively work with the Registration team to provide daily and weekly reports, internally and to the client
  • Create and manage accommodation reports, travel reports and other ad hoc reports as requested
  • Attendee communications management
  • Reviewing data for deficiencies or errors, correcting any incompatibilities and checking output
  • Critical assessment and management of complex registration data

Requirements:

  • *Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, including Macros*
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must have 1-2 years of database experience
  • Hotel rooming list management experience is an asset
  • Strong Customer Service
  • Available to extra hours if necessary
  • Ability to deliver high level service with tight deadlines
  • Events management or coordination experience a definite asset
  • Must have professional corporate appearance with no visible tattoos or facial piercings

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Salary: $16.00 to $25.00 /hour
