Purpose of the Role:
The individual will be responsible for supporting and leading legal, regulatory, and compliance activities across Wireless DNA. This includes drafting and reviewing contracts, ensuring corporate governance compliance, handling lease negotiations, and liaising with internal and external legal counsel. The role will also provide administrative support for legal matters, manage notices and escalations, and ensure all business operations comply with relevant laws and regulations.
Core Responsibilities:
Contracts & Agreements: Draft, review, and manage contracts and agreements (vendors, clients, partnerships, and international partners). Ensure compliance with Canadian and international legal standards.
Lease & Real Estate Negotiations: Review and support lease negotiations, renewals, amendments, and real estate-related legal documentation.
Legal Administration: Maintain and organize all legal files, contracts, and records; manage legal correspondence and notices; prepare summaries for leadership.
Compliance & Regulatory: Develop and maintain compliance programs; ensure adherence to employment laws, tax requirements, licensing, privacy, and data security.
Escalations & Notices: Draft and issue legal notices; track escalations and ensure timely follow-up/resolution.
Corporate Governance: Support incorporation, registration, and ongoing compliance of Canadian and international entities.
Trademark & Asset Management: Manage registration and protection of trademarks, digital assets, and intellectual property.
Stakeholder Management: Liaise with domestic and international legal counsel; act as a point of contact for leadership on legal and compliance issues.
Regulatory Monitoring: Stay informed of changes in laws/regulations impacting the business; advise management proactively.
Required Competencies & Experience:
2+ years’ experience in contract management, or legal administration.
Strong lease administration or real estate negotiation experience is an advantage
Excellent drafting and contract review skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency with MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Law Clerk designation preferred; paralegal background is an asset
