Responsibilities
You’ll be at the center of our food safety program, responsible for maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and continuously improving our systems
· Collaborate with document holders to ensure procedures are reviewed annually
· Maintain and update Export Control Plans (ECP) and SFCR license
· Prepare and verify export shipment labels in line with CFIA requirements
· Coordinate CFIA inspections of incoming goods
· Review and analyze compliance with MAPAQ and national labeling laws
· Act as the main contact for CFIA; respond to documentation requests same-day
· Log CFIA communications and export label checks as controlled documents
· Review CFIA notifications and take necessary action
· Take the lead during the FSSC 22000 audits
· Lead and document annual HACCP validation, verification, and context analysis
· Present the annual Management Review and follow up on action items
· Conduct internal audits and manage corrective action logs
· Oversee food fraud and food defense plans
· Update and consolidate procedures to align with the latest FSSC 22000 standard
· Lead crisis management and mock recall simulations
· Manage traceability tests across finished goods, raw materials, and packaging
· Develop the annual training plan and facilitate sessions for all staff levels
Experience
· Bilingual in French and English. English is required due to internal communication.
· Experience managing a certified GFSI food safety system (FSSC 22000 preferred)
· Ability to conduct food safety risk assessments
· Strong organization and documentation habits – nothing slips through the cracks
· Confidence leading meetings, communicating with regulatory bodies, and collaborating across teams
· Familiarity with CFIA regulations and MAPAQ requirements
· Experience with tools like Alchemy and Microsoft To-Do is a plus

Pay: $138,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
