iGaming Ontario is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive QA Analyst to join our IT team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Business Solutions Support, the QA Analyst will be responsible for executing test cases, identifying bugs, and ensuring the quality and functionality of our software products. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on testing and contributing to the delivery of reliable, high-quality applications.
Key responsibilities for this role will include:
- Reviewing requirements and specifications to develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases.
- Executing manual and automated test cases across web, desktop, and API-based applications.
- Identifying, documenting, and tracking bugs using issue tracking tools.
- Collaborating with developers and business analysts to understand features and resolve issues.
- Performing various types of testing including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Participating in sprint planning and daily stand-ups as part of an Agile team.
- Providing feedback on usability, performance, and overall user experience.
- 2+ years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.
- Familiarity with software development and testing life cycles.
- Experience with test case management and defect tracking tools.
- ISTQB Foundation Level certification or equivalent is a plus.
- Experience testing APIs and using tools.
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Basic understanding of test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Java).
- Basic understanding of performance testing tools (e.g. Micro Focus Load Runner, JMeter).
- Basic understanding of test data tools (e.g. Java, Snowflake).
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
iGaming Ontario has implemented a minimum three-day per week in-office schedule and may implement a full return to office in 2026. The terms of iGaming Ontario’s Hybrid Work Policy are subject to change at any time, including its office location, the removal of the Hybrid Work Policy and a return to full-time in-office work.
This position falls within the scope of a bargaining unit represented by the Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU). In the upcoming months, iGaming Ontario and OPSEU will be negotiating the terms of a collective agreement which, once concluded, will govern the terms and conditions of this position.
