Learning Potential Foundation is looking for Education Assistants to join our team for the upcoming school year (2025-26). We partner with preschools, daycares, and dayhomes, working with children aged 2-5 years with varying levels of delays/needs.
Current EA Position opportunities in CALGARY, AIRDRIE, and CARSTAIRS.
- We are interviewing for PART TIME positions to start from Sept 2/25. Positions may be 3-4 hours per day from Mon-Fri between 8am-12noon. (*Positions may have the potential to increase into Full Time but there is currently no guarantee for that.)
Qualifications include:
-Experience with children with delays and/or special needs an asset
-Criminal Record Check with vulnerable sector search (dated within the last 6 months)
- Education Assistant certification an asset
Abilities Required include:
-Proficiency in English (written and oral)
-Ability to work as a team and independently
-Good organizational skills, time management skills, and pacing skills
-Flexibility within a group setting of students with various needs
-Ability to respond appropriately to challenging behaviours of students
-Reliable & Dependable (including consistent attendance)
-Success in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships
-Enthusiasm, commitment, willingness to learn, and desire to make a difference
-Ability to maintain confidentiality and represent our ECS in a professional manner
Compensation/Position includes:
-Our starting wage is $22/hr.
-Benefits after 3 months if employed for 18+ hrs per week
-Contract runs for the school year (with option to renew based on performance and agreement by both parties)
