Psychologist/Psychological Associate

0.6FTE Contract Position (21 Hours/Week)
QUALIFICATIONS:
Psy.D (Doctorate of Psychology) or Ph.D. (Doctorate of Philosophy). Registered and licensed with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO) and authorized to practice Clinical Psychology.
OR
Psychological Associate with a master’s degree in psychology (e.g. M.A., M.Sc., M.Ps., M.Ed.) followed by four (4) years of experience working the scope of practice of psychology under the supervision of a registered Psychologist, followed by one (1) – two (2) years of supervised practice. Registered and licensed with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO) as a Psychological Associate and authorized to practice Clinical Psychology.
AND
The Psychologist or Psychological Associate must hold a certificate of registration authorizing autonomous practice, providing services without supervision, within their area of competence.
EXPERIENCE:
- At least three (3) years of relevant experience in the field of psychology.
- A broad and in-depth knowledge of childhood development and exceptionalities and appropriate intervention modalities.
- An in-depth knowledge of current modalities used in the assessment and treatment of children and youth.
- Demonstrated competence in psychological assessment of children and adolescents.
- Demonstrated commitment to the acquisition and application of evidence-based practices.
SKILLS:
- Excellent verbal and written skills, as evidenced by concise assessment feedback and comprehensive assessment report writing.
- The ability to conduct interviews efficiently.
- The ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
- Proven analytical, critical reasoning, collaboration, problem-solving, decision-making and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated strong awareness of ethical principles and standards of professional conduct.
