We are AWMAC award winning, and LEED certified and educated in the Disney Approach to quality service and have produced millwork in over 1600 construction projects internationally, 1000 of which in the greater Toronto area alone.

AWFI creates a variety of high-end custom millwork, casework, architectural woodwork, surface cladding and themed spaces for restaurants, hotels, casinos, entertainment facilities, condominiums, malls and many other public spaces.
Summary
At All Wood Fine Interiors, our Project Manager to oversee all aspects of our projects, from inception to installation. The ideal candidate will collaborate with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure the highest quality standards while managing resources, timelines, and budgets. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that all project elements align with client expectations, project specifications, and regulatory requirements.
*This position is required to be in the office Monday-Friday
Responsibilities
Collaborate with Cross-functional Teams: Work closely with engineers, architects, and other project stakeholders to ensure that all elements of the project meet quality specifications and client expectations.
Contract Negotiation & Vendor Management: Negotiate contracts with external vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring profitable agreements that meet project requirements. Handle the hiring and allocation of sub-contractors and trades.
Resource Management: Determine the resources (manpower, materials, and equipment) required from start to finish of the project. Ensure that resources are allocated effectively and in alignment with the project budget.
Scheduling & Procurement: Oversee the ordering and timely delivery of supplies and materials. Ensure that all items are delivered according to schedule, maintaining project timelines.
Project Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Review project plans and specifications, ensuring that all project phases are communicated clearly to the team. Conduct regular site checks to monitor progress and troubleshoot issues as they arise, ensuring that the project adheres to quality standards. Travelling to worksites when required.
Leadership & Mentorship: Mentor project coordinators and provide guidance to the project team, especially on larger projects. Supervise installers and ensure they meet performance standards.
Reporting & Documentation: Prepare and manage project documents, reports and internal communications. Submit detailed reports on project status, including progress, challenges, and achievements. Invoice clients monthly and maintain open communication to address any concerns.
Quality Control & Risk Mitigation: Implement quality control measures throughout the project lifecycle. Identify and mitigate potential risks proactively, using architectural expertise to resolve engineering challenges.
Strategic Sourcing & Budget Management: Strategically source materials, parts, and services required for the project, ensuring alignment with project timelines, specifications, and budgetary constraints.
Prioritize & Delegate Tasks: Acting proactively to ensure tasks and resources are allocated based on project goals, deadlines, and priorities, optimizing team performance and project outcomes.
Estimating & Cost Analysis: Prepare detailed cost estimates and conduct project analysis using industry-standard methods and software.
Client Communication and Management: Maintain strong relationships with clients, providing regular updates, support, and solutions throughout the project lifecycle.
Contract Review & Compliance: Analyze contract specifications, construction drawings, and site conditions to ensure compliance and accuracy, including generating and reviewing contracts, maintaining accurate project documentation, and adhering to internal systems and protocols.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:
Must have 5+ years’ experience as a Project Manager in residential and/or commercial millwork
Proven experience managing architectural or construction projects, including contract negotiation and vendor management.
Knowledge in Bluebeam, and other construction project software.
Worked on ERP/BIM software like Procore, Fieldwire, Project Team, Crows Nest etc.
Must understand architectural blueprints and be able to interpret drawings and technical specs with a solid understanding of millwork
Strong knowledge of project management processes, quality control, and risk management.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and lead teams.
Experience in mentoring or managing project coordinators.
In-depth understanding of millwork procedures, material, and project management principles, with experience in high-rise custom millwork is an asset
Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
Experience with project scheduling, resource allocation, and budgeting.
Knowledge of various materials used in the industry i.e., wood, metal, solid surfaces (Corian), acrylic, glass etc.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Have personal vehicle to travel to worksites to oversee project installation, clean driving record required
