The Role:
Our Project Management Office is looking for a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to join their team for a 4-month Contract. In this role, you will provide project management and change management leadership for our enterprise-wide strategic projects to enable achievement of our Strategic Plan. You will be responsible for the planning and execution of projects across multiple business functions, support development and execution of the Cost Competitiveness program, and manage the relationships with key stakeholders to ensure rapid and effective closure of business gaps and opportunities.

- Develop and maintain highly-effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Conduct regular status update meetings with the project teams.
- Manage approvals, acceptance, and sign-offs for relevant PMO initiatives.
- Provide thought leadership and subject matter expertise in planning, prioritizing, and forecasting the portfolio of projects.
- Develop requirements and business cases for initiatives by conducting meetings/interviews, and facilitation of large group/cross-functional sessions with partners.
- Function as the business advocate and partner in the initiation, planning and execution of projects by leading, facilitating and enabling cross functional teams.
- Keep business partners and stakeholders informed on progress of projects, issues, risks, and financials to ensure transparency, business input and collaborative decision making.
- Work with other functional Project Managers to follow and continuously improve on the aligned to project methodology and toolset to hold project methodology rigor and standardization across the organization.
- Develop project charters that clearly articulate objectives, scope, deliverables, timelines, team members, and stakeholder alignment.
- Lead and facilitate risk assessment processes, identifying potential roadblocks and working with leads to create mitigation plans.
- Support the management of a cross-functional program, ensuring objectives, milestones, interdependencies, and priorities are met.
What you bring to the role:
- Bachelor’s degree in the field of marketing, business administration, engineering, or equivalent.
- Relevant work experience in business relationship management, project planning and execution, deployments, roadmap development, and portfolio management.
- Project Management Certification (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2, etc.) is preferred.
- Experience with Program Management and with developing project charters.
- Experience in supporting cross-functional ideation and strategic planning efforts.
- Background in Manufacturing to facilitate and assist leads with risk assessments.
- Proven success with coordinating across teams, managing interdependencies, and handling difficult conversations/conflicts.
- Independent and proactive - takes initiative to drive clarity, propose plans, and remove ambiguity.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (including MS Project) and Smartsheet (preferred).
- Ability to filter and aggregate quantitative and qualitative data to support ongoing program ideation (i.e. pivot tables, formulas, workflows, dashboards, SQL – not required, but preferred).
- Experience in facilitating brainstorming and ideation sessions with different manufacturing functions.
