About us
At DARO, we build systems that really work for organizations that do real-world good. Based in Montreal, Canada, we work with the social sector to improve information flows across organizations and ecosystems. Our work often deals with complex, persistent, and interconnected problems that require digging deep to find solutions that serve the public good.
We focus on using and generating open and public data to help funders and nonprofits inform their programs and strategies. We also apply our unique expertise to systems-level issues and projects related to data and information in the nonprofit sector. DARO’s founders have been at the forefront of community technology for the last twenty years. We have been internationally recognized leaders in the field of community wireless internet access, and open data for the nonprofit sector.
About the position
Reporting to a Senior Manager, the Project Lead will be responsible for the successful delivery of DARO’s projects. The Project Lead is expected to engage in an ongoing, iterative process of understanding our clients’ contexts and needs. In addition, the Project Lead will be responsible to supervise Project Coordinators who are working on and completing project deliverables. This can include: conducting key informant interviews, distilling user or technical requirements from interviews, resolving technical data/workflow issues, developing elements of information architecture, and implementation support for solutions.
