Health Management Program Coordinator
Location: A.R. Kaufman YMCA
This position may coordinate programs across The YMCA of Three Rivers but will support in person programs primarily at the locations listed above.
Work Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Evening and Weekend availability required

What you will do…
As the Health Management Coordinator, you will be a part of the Health Management team across YMCA of Three Rivers. In your role you will be responsible for ensuring excellence in member service through the coordination, administration and delivery of adult programs and services with a focus on recreational programs for seniors living with disabilities and adaptive exercise support programs.
The Health Management coordinator will be responsible for providing leadership and support to the Wellness Director in the following ways:
- Support the development and implementation of recreational (arts & cards, games & cards) and social-based programs for older adults living with disabilities.
- Responsible for spending a portion of your week in the direct delivery of programs and providing adaptive exercise support in the fitnesss centre. Primary site of program delivery include A.R.Kaufman Family YMCA.
- Take a proactive approach with members and participants by assisting them with any needs, inquires or concerns.
- Help lead and support a volunteer team to deliver high quality programming, and also coordinate their schedules.
- Monitor program statistics, registration and program supplies.
- Responsible for participant recruitment and participant intake processes.
- Program communication to YMCA staff, volunteers and connections in the community (organizations and health care providers).
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
What you will bring…
You will have completed a related university or college degree or diploma, have an active Personal Trainer certification, or professional exercise designation (Registered Kinesiologist or Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology-Certified Exercise Physiologist).

You will have well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills with the ability to establish rapport and excellent communication with staff and YMCA community members.
This role requires regular travel across the region, which may not always be easily accessible through public transit. The employee must be able to arrange their own transportation to these sites. A valid G driver’s license and full time vehicle access are strongly recommended.
