About Us:
Trust Care Children’s Homes Ltd. is a child and youth care agency committed to creating safe, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive homes where every child and youth can thrive. We operate staff model residential homes that provide individualized care and support for youth with complex needs. As we grow, we are seeking a passionate and experienced Program Coordinator to lead and support our frontline care teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of staff model homes, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for all residents.
- Ensure compliance with Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services (MCCSS) standards and agency policies.
- Provide supervision, coaching, and training to Child and Youth Workers and frontline staff.
- Conduct and participate in pre-placement assessments, intake meetings, and plan of care reviews.
- Review and respond to Serious Occurrence Reports (SORs) and ensure timely documentation and reporting.
- Coordinate staff scheduling to ensure adequate coverage and staffing ratios.
- Collaborate with foster parents, case workers, and external professionals to support youth development and well-being.
- Monitor youth progress and address high-risk behaviors using trauma-informed approaches.
- Ensure regular communication and follow-up with placing agencies and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree in Child and Youth Care, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in residential or child welfare settings.
- Demonstrated knowledge of MCCSS licensing standards and trauma-informed care.
- Current Police Vulnerable Sector Check, First Aid/CPR, and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certifications.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage crises and provide appropriate guidance to team members.
- Valid Ontario driver’s license and access to reliable transportation preferred.
