We Are In Search Of...


A skilled Product Manager to drive the development of our next-generation of products as they evolve. Reporting to the VP, Product Management & Marketing and working from our Ottawa R&D hub and working from our Ottawa R&D hub, you will drive the product from concept to launch, blending hands-on hardware expertise with video software integration and edge AI analytics.


What you will do...


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Product Ownership: Define vision, strategy and roadmap for your product line(s).

Hardware Excellence: Specify requirements for sensors, optics, SoCs and thermal/EMC constraints; balance performance, cost and manufacturability.

Video & Edge AI: Guide integration of encoded video pipelines, on-device analytics and low-latency streaming.


Lifecycle Management: Lead market research, requirements, competitive teardown, business case, and launch.

Prioritization: Write detailed PRDs, user stories and validation plans; manage priorities and trade-offs with R&D.

Customer Validation: Run field trials with key partners, gather feedback and iterate hardware/FW revisions.

Sales Enablement: Deliver datasheets, launch decks, battle cards and demo kits to arm Sales and Marketing.

Performance Monitoring: Track yield, MTBF, in-field returns and feature usage; feed insights into continuous improvement.


What you bring…


  • Mandatory: 5+ yrs product management of CCTV/video-surveillance or physical security devices.
  • Proven end-to-end ownership of at least one camera, NVR, encoder or similar hardware product.
  • Deep knowledge of imaging sensors, video pipelines, ISP tuning, RTSP/ONVIF.
  • Exposure to edge AI frameworks and hardware accelerators.
  • Strong understanding of BOM cost control, DFM, compliance (FCC/CE), and supply-chain realities.
  • PM skills: customer discovery, requirements, prioritization, prototyping, launch.
  • Clear, concise communicator able to bridge hardware, firmware, software and commercial teams.
  • Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or similar; MBA a plus.
  • Based in the Ottawa, Ontario area or willing to relocate/commute.
