Role Overview
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Product Coordinator to support our Senior Product Manager (SPM) in executing product and cross-functional initiatives. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role within the Product team — perfect for someone who wants to gain practical experience and exposure to the full product lifecycle, while building foundational skills for a future product management career.
You’ll handle structured, repeatable responsibilities like competitive tracking, product data management, tool QA, and project coordination — freeing up the SPM to focus on high-leverage decisions and strategy, while gaining exposure to how product strategy connects to execution across engineering, operations, finance, and sales.
Key Responsibilities
Product & Project Coordination
- Support cross-functional product initiatives by tracking deliverables, owners, and timelines.
- Manage a shared tracker for active product-related projects and ensure stakeholders are aligned.
- Send meeting recaps, follow-up items, and reminders for projects the SPM is involved in.
Data & Document Management
- Organize and update product master data: SKUs, dimensions, cost elements, attributes.
- Log and track historical product changes and communicate updates to stakeholders.
- Assist in the development of internal tools (e.g., Estimator content inputs).
Cost & Pricing Support
- Assist in compiling historical product cost data and basic margin analysis.
- Help format drafts of pricing packages or customer-facing cost justification tools.
What Success Looks Like
- The Senior Product Manager spends less time chasing updates and preparing materials.
- Product data and documents are reliable, consistent, and easily accessible.
- Cross-functional teams experience smoother coordination on product initiatives.
- Stakeholders can rely on clear, structured information when decisions are needed.
- The coordinator develops a working understanding of the New
Product Lifecycle and adjacent business functions.
Qualifications
- 0–2 years of experience in an operations, product coordination, or project support role.
- Comfortable working with Excel/Sheets, task tracking tools (MS Project, Asana, Trello, Notion, etc.).
- Organized, resourceful, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Interest in product development, construction materials, or manufacturing is a bonus.
- Location: Preferred: Hybrid Kitchener, ON. 1-2 days in office and rest work from home; or Calgary, AB Office Hybrid. Flexibility to travel to Palmerston, ON location on occasion. Will consider Remote (with necessary travel) for strong candidates.
