About the role
The Theatre Department at Capilano University is looking for a Musical Theatre voice instructor who can teach private lessons for singing for the Musical Theatre and the Acting for Stage and Screen programs. This applicant will be an expert in singing various styles (Musical Theatre and Pop/Rock), vocal health, have working knowledge of the musical theatre canon, vocal pedagogy, and current industry standards. Piano skills are an asset.
These lessons support the in-class performances as well as the season of shows in both the Blueshore Center for the performing arts and the Arbutus Studio

Lessons are 45-50 minutes per student per week.
Experience, competencies & qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, certification or equivalent qualification from an accredited college or training program. Post-secondary teaching experience or private vocal teaching experience is required. Professional experience will be considered. A Masters in a relevant area is preferred.
