Prince George Southwest - Operations Coordinator / Dispatcher

ParcelPal is looking for Operations Coordinators!

We are looking for highly motivated, organized, and reliable individuals to join our team and dispatch a fleet of delivery associates. This is a ground floor opportunity to be part of a growing, publicly-traded technology and logistics company.

This is a full-time, permanent position with the potential to move on to a management role.

Duties Include:

  • Monitoring dashboards to ensure drivers complete their routes on time with minimal packages returned

  • Communicating with drivers and customers to ensure delivery targets and special instructions are met

  • Assisting in managing driver performance

  • Enforcing adherence to standard work

  • Providing end of shift reports to management

  • Assisting supervisors with capacity management and vehicle maintenance planning

  • Updating staffing schedules and timesheets, coordinating additional training

  • Taking full accountability for the inventory of equipment and ensuring all equipment is returned at the end of the shift.

  • Other duties as assigned

All applicants must satisfy the following requirements:

  • Must possess valid class 5 driver's license

  • Must have reliable transportation

  • Minimum age: 21

  • Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to communicate effectively with clients, customers, and coworkers.

  • Must be tech-savvy.

  • Pass Criminal background check

  • Strong geographic knowledge of the surrounding area.

  • Must be coachable and have a willingness to continue training and upgrade skills relating to dispatch and fleet management.

  • Excellent English, both oral and written communication skills required.

  • Knowledge of stress management, conflict resolution, team leadership and sense of comradery are essential to your success in this position.

  • Demonstrated the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

Ideal Candidates:

  • Will have a post-secondary education (diploma), preferably in Operations or Supply Chain Management.

  • Preferably 2-years work experience in operations or logistics

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office 360 and other Office related tech.

  • Familiarity with Worksafe B.C./Employment Standards/Ministry of Transportation policies & regulations.
