About the Role:
The Wellington Retirement Residence is seeking a dedicated and reliable Prep Cook/Server to join our dining services team. This dual-role position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen environment and also takes pride in providing friendly, respectful service to seniors.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in food preparation under the direction of the Chef or Cook
Serve meals to residents in a professional and courteous manner
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining area
Follow food safety standards and hygiene protocols
Collaborate with team members to ensure a high standard of resident satisfaction
Qualifications:
Previous kitchen or serving experience preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
Food Handler Certification is an asset (or willingness to obtain)
Compassionate, team-oriented attitude and respect for seniors
