WHAT YOU’LL DO…
As a Powder Coater at Wekid, you’ll be responsible for preparing and powder coating materials and assemblies to keep our production line moving smoothly. You’ll make sure every product is finished to the highest quality standard and delivered on time for our customers. Your day-to-day work will involve operating coating equipment, preparing parts, inspecting finishes, and ensuring a safe work environment for you and your teammates.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Preparing parts for coating — primarily stainless steel, aluminum, and pipe materials.
- Following all principles and best practices for powder coating applications.
- Operating coating equipment, including guns, hoppers, and booth collection systems.
- Monitoring machine gauges and equipment operation to detect defects or issues.
- Inspecting paint flow, viscosity, and coating quality through visual checks or testing.
- Ensuring that all components are coated efficiently, meet company quality goals, and support on-time customer deliveries.
- Following and promoting safety procedures to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
OTHER INFORMATION:
- This is an on-site position located in Kelowna, BC. (805 Crowley Ave, Kelowna, BC).
- This position works Monday to Friday, 8-hour days, evening shift.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience working with materials and fabrication processes.
- Experience in powder coating or industrial painting.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Solid blueprint reading ability and mechanical aptitude.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
