WHAT YOU’LL DO…
As a Polisher at Wekid, you’ll play an important role in ensuring our products leave the shop floor with a flawless finish. You’ll interpret fabrication drawings, operate polishing and finishing equipment, and work closely with our Quality Control, Engineering, and Safety teams to meet customer expectations and uphold our commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reading and interpreting fabrication drawings for grind symbols.
- Operating polishing equipment safely and effectively.
- Using cutting, grinding, drilling, and testing tools in a safe manner.
- Operating overhead cranes and lifting equipment according to safety procedures.
- Working with Quality Control, Engineering, the Safety Committee, and Management to continuously improve products, processes, and the work environment.
- Accurately tracking job time using tablets or barcode systems.
- Participating in daily company-wide meetings and shop floor meetings.
OTHER INFORMATION:
- This is an on-site position located in Kelowna, BC. (805 Crowley Ave, Kelowna, BC).
- This position works Monday to Friday, 8-hour days, evenings.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience working with materials and fabrication processes.
- Experience using power and hand tools.
- Familiarity with personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices.
- Strong blueprint reading skills.
- Good communication, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
- A collaborative, team-oriented approach and a focus on results.
