Expected Salary: $88,641 to $132,961
The final base salary offer will be at the Company’s sole discretion.

In this role, you will:
- Lead the development and execution of the Planning Team’s strategic roadmap, ensuring alignment with the PMO vision and seamless coordination across planning functions.
- Oversee a team of Project, Scope, and Material Planners, ensuring customer work specifications and requirements are met (including resource and material identification).
- Drive team performance by fostering development, managing stakeholders, and ensuring resources are enabled to deliver on commitments
- Manage and develop effective relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
- Provide the Project Manager with technical planning & material support both during project bid submission and project execution.
- Oversee Development of Commissioning Group (CG) Estimating and Planning Processes.
- Reviews Estimates and provides response to Customer Estimate Challenges.
- Acts as Primary Point of Contact with Victoria Shipyards Ltd (VSL) Planning Manager and ensures team working Practises are aligned.
- Ensure compliance with all working practices, standards of discipline, safety, and quality, maintained through familiarisation and compliance with the requirements of extant Corporate Procedures.
- Establish the accurate collection of Learning from Experience for future projects for both project and material planning
- Lead, coordinate and develop staff to ensure the team is utilized and employed effectively.
- Focus on ensuring that the business the right tools, processes, inputs and measure for Project, Scope and Material planning.
- Other duties as necessary.
The ideal candidate brings:
- 8+ years relevant experience with 5 years’ experience in project management in defence systems contracts, or similar, within the last 7 years and 5+ years leadership experience.
- Project Control / ERP software experience.
- Experience in commercial Estimating & Detail Planning.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including presentations in front of groups.
- Sound working knowledge of project management principles, PMP certification an asset.
- Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint and a working familiarity with at least one version of common scheduling software (e.g. P6 or Microsoft Project). Experience working with Power BI an asset.
- A broad engineering/technical background is considered an asset.
- Submarine experience is considered an asset.
- Royal Canadian Navy (or similar) operating system experience is considered an asset.
- You are eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance
