About the work environment:
Peoples Group offers a flexible and hybrid work environment. In this role, you will work a combination of in-office and remotely from home. Typically, you'll work regular business hours, Monday through Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., with flexibility around start/end times.

About you:
We are seeking a highly analytical and strategic Planning & Analysis Manager to lead financial modeling, forecasting, and business planning initiatives.
This role is pivotal in driving data-informed decision-making, optimizing financial performance, and supporting executive leadership with actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
About the day-to-day:
Planning & Analysis Manager Responsibilities (Strategic & Design-Focused)
- Lead and mentor a team of 2–3 analysts, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
- Develop and maintain complex financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
- Conduct in-depth monthly variance analysis to identify trends and support executive decision-making.
- Oversee the preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting packages for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop annual budgets, forecasts, and strategic initiatives.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to understand business drivers and their financial impacts.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and control.
- Support the development of board materials and executive presentations.
- Lead and contribute to ad hoc financial projects and strategic initiatives.
Planning & Analysis Manager Responsibilities (Hands-On Implementation & Operations)
- Prepare and review monthly administrative expense reports and distribute to department leaders.
- Conduct bi-weekly forecasting to ensure timely and accurate financial planning.
- Analyze financial data to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
- Maintain and enhance financial systems and tools (e.g., Adaptive, NetSuite).
- Ensure accuracy and consistency in financial reporting and data integrity.
- Automate and streamline reporting processes using advanced Excel techniques.
- Support internal and external audits with accurate and timely financial data.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to track business performance.
- Collaborate with finance and business teams to align financial planning with operational goals.
About the qualifications:
- Minimum 6-8 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, and / or planning & analysis roles.
- Post-secondary degree in Finance or Accounting.
- CPA designation (or equivalent)
- Experience working with Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Word, and Excel).
- Financial Institution with payments industry experience is an asset.
- Adaptive/Workday experience is an asset.
- PowerBi experience is an asset.
Compensation:
Peoples Group is pleased to offer employees a competitive annual salary plus a discretionary profit share opportunity. In addition, we are pleased to offer employees both group benefits and the option to participate in our RRSP matching program, beginning the first day of employment. Salary for this position will vary between $105,000 to $115,000 per year depending on the knowledge, skills, abilities and experience that the chosen candidate possesses. As part of our recruiting process, shortlisted candidates will be asked their salary expectations for this position.
