Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our team on a 12 month maternity leave contract. In this role, you will support pharmacists in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the efficient operation of the pharmacy.
Start date: October 1, 2025: (can start end of Sept for training)
Responsibilities
- Receiving written prescriptions and written or verbal refill requests
- Inputting all patient and prescription information into the computer
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering and restocking pharmaceutical supplies.
- Support the daily operations of the pharmacy, including maintaining cleanliness and organization.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Assistant is preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care and customer service.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced pharmacy environment.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential.
- Kroll computer experience is an asset
- Mandarin/Cantonese speak would be an asset
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
