Position Overview:
We’re seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Pharmacy Assistant Instructor to deliver engaging instruction and real-world insights to students enrolled in our diploma program. This role is ideal for someone who is experienced in pharmacy practice and enjoys mentoring the next generation of healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver course content in an engaging and accessible way (online and/or in person)
- Teach core topics such as pharmacy operations, pharmacology basics, inventory management, billing procedures, and customer service
- Support students through lectures, discussions, demonstrations, and one-on-one guidance
- Evaluate student performance, assignments, and practical skills
- Help prepare students for practicum placements and entry into the pharmacy field
- Ensure course delivery aligns with college standards and regulatory guidelines
- Maintain accurate student records, grades, and attendance
- Provide mentorship, encouragement, and career advice to students
- Work with the CHBC team to ensure a smooth and supportive student experience
Qualifications:
- Pharmacy Assistant diploma or equivalent education in a pharmacy-related field
- Minimum 2 years of work experience in a retail, community, or hospital pharmacy setting
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Teaching or training experience is an asset
- Familiarity with pharmacy software systems, billing practices, and prescription handling
- Comfortable using digital platforms (Zoom, Google Drive, Moodle, etc.)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 14 – 20 per week

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
